Flockyn is a place where people connect through shared hobbies and passions. These guidelines help us maintain a welcoming, safe, and inspiring community for everyone. By using Flockyn, you agree to follow these guidelines.

1. Be Respectful

- Give constructive feedback when asked
- Celebrate others' achievements and progress
- Be patient with beginners
- Acknowledge different perspectives and approaches
✗ DON'T:
- Insult, mock, or belittle others
- Discriminate based on race, gender, religion, age, disability, or background
- Use hate speech or slurs
- Gatekeep hobbies or discourage newcomers
- Make fun of others' skill levels or equipment
2. Keep It Safe

- Protect your personal information
- Meet in public places for first-time in-person meetups
- Report suspicious or concerning behavior
- Verify event details before attending
- Trust your instincts about safety
✗ DON'T:
- Share others' personal information without consent
- Stalk, harass, or threaten other users
- Send unwanted romantic or sexual messages
- Pressure others to meet in private locations
- Share content depicting violence or harm
3. Be Authentic

- Use your real identity
- Share genuine content about your hobbies
- Be honest about your skill level
- Give accurate descriptions in marketplace listings
- Honor your commitments to events and sessions
✗ DON'T:
- Impersonate others or use fake identities
- Misrepresent your qualifications as a mentor
- Post misleading or fraudulent marketplace listings
- Use bots or automated accounts
- Create multiple accounts
4. Respect Content Rules
✓ DO:
- Share hobby-related content
- Credit original creators when sharing their work
- Only post content you have rights to share
- Use appropriate language in public spaces
- Mark mature content appropriately when allowed
✗ DON'T:
- Post sexually explicit content
- Share violent or graphic content
- Infringe on copyrights or trademarks
- Spam or post repetitive content
- Advertise unrelated products or services
5. Community and Event Guidelines
For Community Members
- Follow the specific rules of each community
- Stay on topic in discussions
- Report violations to community admins
- Participate constructively in group activities
For Community Administrators
- Moderate your community fairly and consistently
- Set clear rules for your community
- Address member concerns promptly
- Report serious violations to Flockyn
- Do not abuse your administrative privileges
For Event Organizers
- Provide accurate event information
- Communicate changes promptly
- Ensure events are safe and accessible
- Handle payments transparently
6. Marketplace Guidelines
- Only list items you actually own and can sell
- Provide accurate descriptions and photos
- Price items fairly
- Respond to inquiries in a timely manner
- Complete transactions as agreed
- Do not sell prohibited items (weapons, illegal goods, etc.)
7. Mentorship Guidelines
For Mentors
- Be honest about your expertise
- Prepare for your sessions
- Respect scheduled times
- Provide value to your mentees
- Maintain professional boundaries
For Mentees
- Come prepared with questions or goals
- Respect your mentor's time
- Provide honest feedback
- Cancel sessions with appropriate notice
8. Prohibited Activities
The following will result in immediate account suspension or ban:
- Illegal activities or promoting illegal behavior
- Sexual content or predatory behavior
- Threats of violence or self-harm
- Fraud, scams, or financial deception
- Selling prohibited items (weapons, drugs, counterfeit goods)
- Doxxing or sharing private information
- Coordinated harassment campaigns
- Circumventing bans or suspensions
9. Reporting Violations
If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines:
- Use the in-app report feature on the content or profile
- Provide as much detail as possible
- Do not engage with or escalate the situation
- Block the user if necessary
We review all reports and take appropriate action.
10. Enforcement
Violations may result in:
- Warning: First-time minor violations
- Temporary Suspension: Repeated or moderate violations
- Permanent Ban: Severe or repeated violations
- Legal Action: For illegal activities
We reserve the right to take action at our discretion to protect our community.
11. Appeals
If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, you may appeal by contacting support@flockyn.app within 14 days of the action.
